- 2 cups well-drained sauerkraut
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper, then sear in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix sauerkraut, onion, cream of mushroom soup, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Spread half of the sauerkraut mixture in the baking dish. Layer seared pork chops on top and add the remaining sauerkraut mixture.
- Combine breadcrumbs with melted butter; sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to brown the topping.
