Description

A succulent, slow-cooked beef roast glazed in a rich reduction of balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, and garlic.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lb Beef Chuck Roast
  • 1/2 cup Balsamic Vinegar of Modena
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper; sear in olive oil until browned on all sides.
  2. Place seared beef into the slow cooker.
  3. Whisk balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, and garlic together in a bowl.
  4. Pour the balsamic mixture over the beef.
  5. Pour beef broth into the bottom of the pot.
  6. Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours.
  7. Remove beef, strain liquid into a pan, and boil until thickened.
  8. Shred beef and return to the glaze.
