Description

Ingredients

  • 1 English cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • 3 sprigs fresh dill

Instructions

  1. Slice the English cucumber into thin rounds and thinly shave the red onion.
  2. Place the sliced cucumbers and onions into a clean glass jar, packing them tightly.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
  4. Add the whole peppercorns and fresh dill sprigs into the jar with the vegetables.
  5. Pour the vinegar mixture over the vegetables until they are completely covered.
  6. Seal the jar with a lid and shake gently to distribute the ingredients.
  7. Let the jar sit at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
