Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
- Cream butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Beat in vanilla extract and egg until emulsified.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; fold into wet ingredients.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto sheets 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
