Description

Rich, decadent chocolate brownies infused with creamy pumpkin puree and warm autumn spices. These bars are incredibly fudgy with a crackly top and gooey chocolate chips throughout.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter and brown sugar together in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla extract until the batter is glossy.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool completely in the pan before slicing into 16 squares.
