  • 8 slices soft sandwich bread
  • 6 oz deli meats (ham, turkey, or roast beef)
  • 4 oz cheddar or provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 cup lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup pickles
  • 4 black olive slices (for decoration)
  • 2 small carrot sticks (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Cut tombstone shapes from the bread slices using a cookie cutter.
  2. Spread mustard and mayonnaise on one side of each tombstone-shaped slice.
  3. Layer deli meats and cheese on half of the slices.
  4. Add lettuce, tomato, and pickles on top of the cheese.
  5. Cover with another tombstone-shaped slice to complete each sandwich.
