  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F / 43°C)
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp fine sea salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. Add salt and gradually mix in flour until dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until doubled.
  3. Punch down the dough and divide into small pieces. Roll each into ropes about 6 inches long and tie into knots.
  4. Arrange knots on a greased baking sheet. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix melted butter with garlic powder and parsley.
  5. Bake knots for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Brush immediately with garlic butter.
  6. Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
